Ken Competes in the Lake Macquarie Run!

Lifestyle Village resident Ken Redwin has a great zest for life and despite retiring some time ago, he has no plans of slowing down any time soon.

Ken loves to stay active which helps to keep him young at heart. He has a green thumb and likes to potter in the garden. When he gets the chance, he’s off exploring the great outdoors in his campervan for another exciting adventure.

He also enjoys a drop of wine or two at the Jenny MacLeod Lifestyle Village ‘happy hour’.

It was here that the challenge was raised to the Village Manager to also enter the 10.5km run in the Lake Macquarie Running Festival in Warners Bay. The race was on!

The run follows the foreshore of Lake Macquarie starting and finishing at Warners Bay. It run is between Warners bay and Speers Point. Ken not only finished the race but came 1st in the over 70 age group. Congratulations!

One of the main reasons he moved into the Jenny Macleod Lifestyle Village was that he could continue doing all the things he loves. The low maintenance living at the village means that he has more time to have fun. He has the ability to lock up and leave with the security of knowing he has neighbours and management who would watch over his home while away.

Now that the run challenge is behind him, Ken is deciding what exciting things to do next!
